Mayor opens our new path - thanks to Churchers College!

The Mayor of Petersfield, Cllr Peter Clist opened our new path on 26 June.

Teams of Churchers College students along with a group of volunteers led by David Burstall have built the first half (about 100 yards) of our new gravel path. The second half will be built next year and will run all along the brook to the railway embankment at the north end of the Nature Reserve.

Having the new path means that we can now start to encourage people to avoid walking through the centre of the Nature Reserve but to use our new path and walk along the river instead. This will enable our grassy areas to join up and give our wildlife, particularly our slow worms and lizards more peace and quiet. Many thanks to everyone involved.
